Welcome to Number Partners!

Number Partners is a volunteering programme designed to support young people in schools across the country with their number and financial literacy skills. Volunteers visit primary or secondary schools to play number games with students, making maths and financial literacy fun, improving their skill with numbers and boosting their confidence.

All it takes is an interest in young people and numbers, and the commitment to spend up to one hour a week or fortnight at the school.  We'll provide the resources, online training and games to help make Number Partners sessions a success, whether you're new to the programme or an experienced volunteer.

This website provides information, practical advice and training to anyone who wants to get involved, as well as those already taking part in the programme.  Employers, schools, broker organisations, current volunteers and new volunteers will find everything they need to get involved.

Whoever you are, we urge you to register your interest in Number Partners on this site. It's easy to do, just follow the links to register now!

Financial Literacy

We have developed a year long programme for volunteers wishing to help school children develop their financial literacy skills. Aimed at children aged 9 - 11, the programme combines basic financial knowledge with enterprise and employability skills. Follow this link to find out how you can get involved.

Poor numeracy skills cost UK tax payers up to £2.4 billion per year

“It's rewarding to see how giving up a small amount of your time can make a big difference. I was amazed by how excited the children were!”
