Training and assessment
It is essential that all volunteers prepare themselves fully so
that they and their Number Partner students can make the most out
of their sessions together.
For this reason, the Number Partners website offers simple, step
by step online training and assessment for all current and new volunteers. This
includes information about essential police or criminal
record checks which must be taken by those visiting schools. A
valid police or criminal record check and a Number Partners
certificate, which can be printed out upon successful completion of
the online assessment, should be shown to the volunteer coordinator
and to the school, before the first Number Partners session with
students. Most schools will request a valid police or criminal
record check certificate.
