Financial literacy games for students aged 14 to 16

The purpose of the Number Partners financial literacy games is to help young people understand how to make good financial decisions, by placing them in a realistic scenario where the effect of their decisions can safely be seen.  The messages of financial planning, prudence and security all emerge during the games.

It can help to share anecdotes with students to get the activity started.  For example, a story about making a good financial decision and how that came about, or a story about a poor financial decision and how it could have been avoided.

The winner should always be the one who has made the best financial decisions.  Share your concerns and thoughts with students as the game progresses.  For example, 'Are you sure you want to keep so much of your money in cash?' or 'Which sets are worth collecting?  Have you seen how much they'll be worth?'
