Games reviews

"I think the students like Bingo best! I guess everyone's excited to win.  I'd really recommend it to new volunteers." Number Partners volunteer, Mercer

"I've found recently that card games work well . I think the main advantage is the pace.  It seems easier to keep the kids focused on a fast moving game rather than one where a child rolls a die, and then has to retrieve it from under the table, and then has to argue that it was a six although noone else saw it and that, of course, the roll should be allowed to count despite all precedents to the contrary.  For example, Black Jack (21) contains plenty of maths and was very popular. I like to think that it was the quick mental maths they found appealing..." Number Partner volunteer from Dresdner Kleinwort

"Countdown has best supported students' learning and is most fun to play." Number Partners volunteer, Mercer
